My baby is 1........I can't believe how fast time flies!!! He had a double birthday party with his cousin Dawson, and they were so cute!

Trey has also started walking.......It is so fun to watch him! He's not quite sure of himself, but everyday he gets better!!!!

Okay so the last month has been a blur, especially the last couple weeks......
First, Tryston started swimming lessons with some friends, and he did pretty good!

Then to every one's surprise, we got a visit from Doug and Beth!!! :)

We got a call on Saturday morning saying that they were in the NY airport, and that they would be here by 10:30 pm!

We went camping over Memorial weekend with the "whole" family, and it was a lot of fun!!! Doug went on a walk and found a baby deer, we caught a bunch of horney toads, trey slept a lot better then I expected, and we all just totally enjoyed Doug and Beth!!!

I watched Malea's kids, and Dawson and Trey decided to climb on the tool bench and play......they are so cute together!!!

Malea did a "Roadtrip" photography class, and Allee, Tryston and Trey were some of the models......Tryston loved being a cowboy (thanks em for the outfits, and amber for the pics!!:) He called himself "Cowboy Tryston"

Our last night together before Doug and Beth left for New York......Doug was having a hard time breathing, that is why they surprised us.....they had to come home to figure out what was wrong, and they now know he has asthma!!

Wow......busy month, but we had a lot of fun!!!

These are pictures of Trey and my girlfriend Alesha's little guy Dedrick........ They both have the craziest sticky uppy hair do's I have ever seen, and they are both Au' natural......so many people will say to me "ya, it's probably from all the static in the air..." or "I can't wait to have a little boy, so I can do that to his hair" Nope, I don't do anything to it, it has been like this from birth :) Sometimes it's really crazy, and I think I should cut it.........but it is sooooo just Trey to me, and I love it!

Last month my mom, Trey and I went to California to visit Bryce. (He is at Camp Pendleton finishing his infantry training) It was kind of a quick trip, but it was a lot of fun to spend time with Bryce and enjoy some nice weather!! Saturday we spent the day at Knott's Berry Farm. It was sort of busy because they had a special going on with the tickets, but that didn't stop me and Bryce from standing in line to go on the roller coasters!!! (Love, love, love 'em!!!)

Can you believe how crazy Trey's hair is?????? It is everywhere!! Almost every single person we saw stopped to touch it, it's so fluffy! It is actually his 9 month birthday in this pic......I love how happy and smiley he always is!!!!

Sunday we went to church on base, it was kinda different.......it was in an old church house that has been there for forever, but it was fast Sunday, so it was cool to be able to listen to all the boys bear their testimony's!! Surprisingly there were actually about 30 people there, Bryce said that there are usually only about 10.......

He had to check in around 5, so I took a couple pics of him in front of the "machine" that he will be driving.......watch out! Oh yeah, did you notice his glasses???? Every Marine that wears glasses or contacts has to wear them.....on the weekends you can put your contacts back in, but Bryce has been getting infections from his. So he wore the awesome glasses all weekend :)

Anyway, I had a lot of fun spending time with Brycie, I miss him so much!! And it was nice to be just me and my mom too!! (I could always use a good girls trip!)

Dusty and I went down to Las Vegas, spur of the moment, for my Birthday.....I think it was actually the first time I had left Trey too (a little scary for me) But we had so much fun! We ate a yummy dinner at CPK and then went and saw "O", which was so crazy good!!! This next pic is our room with our upgraded view, isn't it fantastic?!?!?!

I will never upgrade the view again!!!!

New Year's Day

We went up to Pine Valley on New Year's Day with Brandon, Malea and their family for some tubing.......but......when we made the first turn and the truck got stuck, I looked over at dusty and saw the biggest grin on his face, I knew we weren't going to do a whole lot of tubing! It was such a nice day, and the kids had so much fun playing in the snow! And right when then sun was starting to go down we finally found the "tube hill of terror" and were able to go down a couple times, it made it all worth it!!!

The annual picture with "Santa Clause" I thought Tryston was going to be nervous, and that Trey would be fine.....but it was totally the opposite!

When you shop for Christmas throughout the year, I think you forget about a lot of stuff......I couldn't believe all the stuff Tryston got from "Santa" this year! Trey got the short end of it......diapers, wipes, and a couple other things.....Thank goodness for hand-me-downs and wrapping paper!

We got to go to New York on Christmas day to visit Pampa and Ma'maa for a week. We had so much fun! The flight there was a piece of cake, both of the boys did so good! Tryston absolutely loved the airplane! We spent most of our time at the house hanging out, watching "kid" movies, playing cards, and eating Beth's yummy meals (one of the things I miss about them being gone.......Sunday meals with the whole family!)!!! We also got to tour the city, go to the mall and the movie Desperaux, and attend church.......which consisted of maybe 12 people total. We had a blast, and can't wait for them to be home!!!

Since we had sooooo much fun, we knew something would have to go wrong......right??? Anyway when we got to the gate to check in, to go home, the guy was kind of weird, and asked if we could come back in a minute. So about 20 minutes later we went back and they had given our seats away!!!! Dusty was so MAD.....and after some choice words, getting on and off the plane 3 times, they finally figured it out! Like I said we had sooooo much fun, and Tryston is still talking about it!!! Thank you so much Pampa and Ma'maa, we LOVE you!!!

Major Update!!

First, for Labor Day weekend we went up to Cedar Mountain to camp and hunt again....of course!! It was a lot of fun to be with the family!Then Lindsay was in town with her 3 kids....Mae, Ian and Noah......All of us girls got together and had a girls night out. We went to dinner and then to Lindsay's parents house to swim and talk until 2 in the A.M. (poor Carly had to be to work at 6) Then on Friday we got together again and took all the kids to the park, and then back to Lindsay's for more swimming......They have the prettiest backyard ever!!! A HUGE pool , a zip line into the pool, a high dive, a pond, tons of grass and pretty flowers everywhere!! The kids loved it!!!

I seriously can't believe that Bryce will be 19 in two months.....It feels like yesterday I was changing his diapers, or picking up his toys in our room that we shared! Or hearing him call me "my Cari" whenever someone would tease him!! He is such a cute, nice, caring, sensitive young "man" who is all grown up now and living his dreams!!! He just left today, for 3 months, to Marine Boot Camp..........and I wish him the best of luck. I think I can officialy say Tryston will Never Again Wear Diapers!!! I have been dreading potty training for almost a year, and it was so much easier than I thought!! I think the key is that he was old enough to know the urge! The first day I set an alarm to go off every 20 min. The second day I spaced it out a little longer, then on the third day I asked him if he needed to go through out the day. There were a couple of accidents but nothing major, and thankfully no poopie accidents! He is wearing pull-ups to bed, but I have noticed a couple of nights he woke up dry. He has done soooooo Good!!!!

......It started off on Friday with our

5 Year Anniversary!!!

Dusty's cousin Kason and his fiance Wendy were sealed that morning in the St. George Temple. It was nice to be able to be there and listen to the promises and covenants that we made to each other only 5 years ago on the same day! Dusty has been the best husband and father that I could have ever asked for, and I love him more and more everyday!!

Then on Sunday Trey was blessed, and Dusty gave him the sweetest blessing ever!! Thanks again for your support, we love you all so much!!

Dusty is out of town for the weekend so Tryston, Trey and I went to McDonald's for dinner. That place totally grosses me out, but Tryston loves it, so I make the sacrifice for him! (I am paranoid about touching things.......dirty hands ewww!!!!!) We have to sit by the bathrooms to eat, that way he doesn't see the slide, and he actually eats his food. He had so much fun, and Trey slept almost the whole time. When we left we got an ice cream cone, and by the time we got home it was ALL OVER Tryston! He took a shower, got his jammies on, and now they are both asleep and I am going to paint my toes and watch a movie! Funny Picture!

Tryston is always asking if he can hold Trey, and then once he's in his arms he says "take a picture mom"..........this was taken this morning, and I think it is so funny, it makes me laugh!

Our music is a combination of my fave songs at the moment and Trystons. Because he is my little shadow, and whenever I am on the computer he wants to listen to his songs. We spent our 4th of July weekend camping on Cedar Mountain. It was so nice to get out of the St. George heat, and into 70 degree weather!!! Dusty and Tryston absolutely love being on the mountain hunting, riding 4-wheelers and dirt bikes, shooting bows and guns, playing in the dirt and with cousins, cooking with the dutch oven, playing cards,etc............I like being up there doing that stuff too, but I think it's the part where I know I don't have to do anything except maybe cook a little that I like the best!!! Trey did really good, except the 5-7 hr. sleeping at night came to a screeching halt! The first night he woke up I think like almost every 2-3 hrs.(I get so delirious that I can't remember) But by Saturday night he was back to his routine and we had a good night last night too! So I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that it continues!!! On Friday we drove down to Cedar to go to dinner and watch the fireworks. Tryston was excited to see them, but they didn't start until 10:00 so he was pretty tired by the time they started. It was a fun long weekend with our family and friends!!!

Trey slept for 6 1/2 hours straight last night!!! I actually woke up at 4:30 to see if he was still breathing, and he was snug as a bug, and then he woke up a half hour later. It was so nice to sleep, but then when I woke up I thought I was going to explode!!!! (hopefully it's not just a one time thing!! :)

A couple days ago Dusty came home from work and wanted to get out of the heat...............so we went up to Pine Valley with the Stucki family to eat yummy dutch oven chicken and potatoes, and let the kids play! I didn't want to go at first because it sounded like to much work for only a few hours, but it ended up being really fun and I think we will definitely be doing it more! (The kids are showing their muscles in the one picture :)

More pics......He kinda has a funny hairdo because I washed it today (he slept right through it too) and it was totally sticking straight up in the back. He has been such a good baby, I can't believe he has already been here for almost 2 weeks, time flies!!

Tryston absolutely loves him!!! If Trey cries or starts to fuss he says "it's okay Trey I'm right here" in a soft nice voice as he touches his face. Tryston loves to kiss, hug and hold him too! It's fun to see them together and I love being their mom!!!

..... is here!!! He came on Wednesday at 1:10 p.m. he was 7lbs. 12oz. and 20 inches long!! Delivery went great, we had to stay an extra day because his bellirubin/jaundice was high, but we are now all home doing good!!! He is such a good baby, and we love him so much! I know it takes me forever to update.......but I will try to post more recent pics!

I got the "okay" from my doctor today, and Delta doesn't have any pregnancy restrictions so...........................On Wednesday bright and early my two sister-in-laws and I are going to New York to see our missionary's (Doug and Beth my parents-in-law :) and be tourists! I am very excited to see them, but a little nervous about all the walking!! Malea is pregnant too, so we will just have to take it easy!

Last weekend we went up to Baker Reservoir to camp and fish! A couple weeks ago was the first time this year that Tryston went camping with his daddy (while I stayed at home and had "Girls Weekend"). He talked about camping and ridding 4-lerlers all week long! They love to camp!!! Me on the other had can only handle so much of it right now...........only 7 weeks left!! Easter Weekend!

What a fun weekend! We went to Wal-Mart for their Easter egg hunt, they had some good prizes, but we didn't win anything. Then we went over to Brandee's for Breakfast and another egg hunt (from Pampa and Gramma) with the cousins!! The kids had so much fun playing outside in the warm weather, and the big boys had fun inside playing the Wii! Then Brax and Abbie came over that night to watch Tryston so Dusty and I could go on a date!!

Sunday morning Tryston woke up to presents from the Easter Bunny, and was sooo excited! We made a yummy breakfast, decorated eggs, played out back with his new bubble blower, and got ready for church! Tryston was his daddy's little shadow all day!!

When we got home from church we got ready and went to my dad's house for another yummy meal!! It was such a beautiful weekend and so fun to be with Family!! Love you guys!! My Handsome Boys!

So Emily and I decided to drive out to the Fair Grounds yesterday to see if the Circus was inside or outside.........It was inside so we decided to go. When we got to the ticket tent it was $16 for adults and $12 for kids (outrageous!)......I would have never paid that price, but we had free tickets for the kids and buy one get one free for the adults!!!! I think the kids enjoyed the performing, but they loved the big slide!! I'm glad we went (I loved the elephants), but I don't think I will ever go again!!!!!

p.s. if you go at intermission you don't have to pay anything!!!!

Dusty's Back Surgery!!!

Where do I start??????

Dusty and I drove up to Provo Thursday night December 13th, because the next day he was going in for a small surgery (a disectomy ... where they remove the disc junk from his L4, L5 and S1 discs). We got him checked in and I waited in the surgery waiting area......an hour and a half later the Dr. came out and said, everything went really good he should be up and walking tonight and you should be able to go home first thing Saturday morning! So that night the nurses got him up to walk around and he was in a lot of pain. The Dr. came in in the morning and decided to do another MRI. 24hrs later the Dr. decided he needed to go back in and scrape all the disc out and put in plastic spacers and bone, 6 screws and 2 rods and fuse it all together. Sunday around 4:30 he went in for his second surgery (5 hrs.) His sister and brother drove up with Tryston so he could see him before he went in. The surgery went really good, but we knew this time it would be a whole different recovery!!! Braxtin stayed over that night with him so I could actually get some real sleep in a bed with Tryston. It was his worst night ever, he was having muscle spasms, and was screaming with pain!!! The next morning they drove home and Dusty started his recovery process ...... they were giving him shots of Morphine and Demerol every 3 hours for the pain. His pain had to be under control and he had to be able to walk on his own before we could go home.....so nine days later his brothers drove up to help us get home!!! Now a little surgery has turned into a major surgery with an eight inch incision down his back and 31 staples. Since we have been home he has been doing really good! He still obviously has pain and he needs help getting up and sitting down, he can't lift anything, and is not supposed to work for 4 months :) It is going to be a long slow process, but he is doing good!! We also have to say thank you to our family and friends who have helped out with Tryston, meals, etc. Thank you so much we luv ya!!!

They have all pretty much grown up together, so they know each other pretty good, and they have so much fun together........except for when they all want the same toy!! Tryston's 2nd Birthday!!!

Tryston had his 2nd Birthday on Thursday, and he was so excited!! All day he would say "it my brrr-day", he was so cute!! He couldn't wait to blow out all two of the candles on his cake. We had a family party at the park, it was like Christmas, he got so much stuff!! He also announced that he is going to be a big brother, with his shirt!! We are very excited!! Happy Birthday Tryston we love you soooooo much!!

Tryston's new favorite things are his snow boots!!!! On Friday my mom, grandma, tryston and I went to Cedar City. When we left he had his boots on and wouldn't take them off, so I figured I would just take his regular shoes for when we were out of the car ........... but I forgot them! So he got to wear his snow boots all around town, and he loved it!!!

Girls Night Out!!!

Last weekend I went to Las Vegas with my mom, my mother-in-law, and my sister's-in-law. A friend of the family got all of us tickets to go to the Celine Dion concert, then at the last minute she didn't want to go................................So we went down early to shop, and eat at the Cheesecake Factory. When we got to the concert we were on the 4th row, in the middle..........we were like five feet away from her! I'm not a huge fan of hers, I think I had a CD when I was younger, and I know some of her songs from the radio, but it was soooooo good!!!!! She put on a great show, and her voice was A-MAZ-ING!!!!! Me and my Mom!!!

Sorry it has taken me so long to post something..................I have been up north at BYU Education Week with my mom, and it was so much fun!!! I totally missed my boys, but it was nice to spend some time with my mom. I went to some really good classes this year on: The great plan of happiness, The personality and character of Jesus, The Temple, The second coming, parenting classes and of course marriage classes! I love it because I come home refreshed ready for life and new obstacles! (Thank you so much Jess, Beth, Brandee and Malea for helping with tryston!!!!!!!) Friday Dusty and Tryston drove up to SLC and we spent the night at my brother Zack's house. We had a BBQ and hung out with the kids. In the collage of pictures there are 4 of Stella with her mouth open, if you look close you will see that she has two rows of teeth like a shark!! Her baby teeth never fell out, so she has to get them pulled out. The other pics. are Kaya and Ethan.......On Saturday we drove up to Ogden and hung out with Dusty's cousin Sally her husband John, and their two kids Gabe and Nick. There are a couple pics of Tryston and Gabe. We had to stay until Monday because Dusty had a Dr. apt. We forgot to bring his MRI's so we drove down to Scipio and Braxtin met us there with the MRI's, then we drove back up to Provo for the apt..........It was kind of a stupid apt. because the doctor didn't really say anything that we didn't already know (dusty can do physical therapy and the shots or he can have surgery). Our past week in a nutshell!!

Alesha and Dave were sealed yesterday, and it was a beautiful sealing!!! I am so happy for them!!! They went on a second honeymoon/ anniversary to Florida for a week. Congratulation guys!!

News on Dusty.....

We now know that Dusty has a ruptured disc............which means he must have already had a herniated disc and when he fell on it it ruptured and is bulging and pinching nerves!!! So we are looking at surgery sometime in the near future, and until then they want him to go to the pain clinic and have $500.00 - $2,000.00 epidurals!! Lucky us!!!
